This FAQ provides a clear overview of the most common questions for both followers and traders on EKBIT’s copy trading system.
1. Follower FAQ
Q1: How do I set up copy trading?
On the EKBIT Copy Trading page, you can configure your settings based on your preferences:
1. Select trading pairs:
Choose the contract pairs you want to follow (e.g., BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT).
2. Set copy-trading leverage:
Two leverage modes are supported:
Custom leverage: Manually set a fixed leverage. Follow trader’s leverage: The system syncs the trader’s leverage automatically.
3. Configure margin mode:
Choose between the two available options:
Fixed margin: Each copied order opens with a fixed amount you set. Fixed ratio: Your order quantity is calculated based on the trader’s order size multiplied by your chosen ratio.
Q2: Why did my copy order fail?
You may miss a copied trade for the following reasons:
Insufficient available balance to open the new position. You did not enable copy trading for the corresponding trading pair. Your fixed margin amount exceeds the allowed limit or falls below the minimum required amount. During high volatility, if the price deviation is too large, the system may block the copy for risk control.
A system notification will be sent if your copy order fails.
Q3: Why did the trader make a profit but I lost money? Why is my ROI different?
Differences usually occur due to:
Unsuccessful follow-up on trader’s additional entries If you fail to copy an add-on position due to insufficient funds, unsupported pairs, or mismatched margin mode, your overall position structure may differ, affecting returns. Different position sizes due to fixed-margin mode If you use fixed-margin mode while the trader varies order size, your average entry price may differ from the trader’s, resulting in different performance.
Q4: How is profit sharing calculated and paid out?
Profit sharing is automatically deducted and locked when each copied order closes.
Profit share = Realized PnL × Trader’s profit share rate
Additional notes:
If later orders generate losses, previously locked profit share will be partially returned based on net profit. Profit sharing is settled daily at 00:00 UTC, provided the trader has no open positions. Details can be viewed under Funds → Copy Trading Profit Share.
2. Trader FAQ
Q1: How can I apply to become a trader?
Go to the Copy Trading page and click “Become a Trader” in the upper-right corner.
Submit the required information; the review will be completed within 1 business day.
Q2: When will I receive my profit share?
Profit sharing begins settling at 08:00 (server time) the following day.
Once settlement is completed, it is automatically credited to your copy trading account.
If you still have open positions during settlement, payout will be postponed to the next trading day.
Q3: How is my profit share calculated?
Profit Share = (Total follower realized profit – Fees) × Profit share rate
Additional notes:
If some orders are unprofitable, the loss portion will reduce the net profit share accordingly. Profit share is locked before settlement and will only be credited after settlement is completed. The exact amount is shown under Funds → Copy Trading Profit Share.
Q4: How do I cancel my trader status?
Go to Copy Trading → My Trades, where you can deactivate trader mode at any time.
